The Connection between Yoga & Ayurveda
Yoga and Ayurveda are sister Vedic sciences, or two pillars, that support each other in achieving a healthy body, happy mind, clarity of intellect, free senses, and a calm soul. The origin of this relationship is said to be that a yogic master and disciple were meditating on why they still got broken bones and suffered from disease so God responded by giving them the wisdom of Ayurveda, the science of life.
Yoga harmonizes the mind, body, and soul, while Ayurveda takes care of a person’s physical and mental well-being through diet and lifestyle changes.
There are 8 limbs of yoga. The eight limbs of yoga are integrated into treatment protocols by our Ayurvedic Doctors to treat Dosha imbalances and specific medical conditions.
During your Panchakarma at Oneworld Ayurveda, you will practice a range of low-impact, calming yoga asanas that are tailored to support you through your detox and healing journey.
